When:

Friday 27th November, from 4:00 pm at Lyona Hurstpierpoint for placard making, and/or 6:00 pm outside Brighton station for the march.

For anyone wanting to make placards for the march, we will meet at Lyona Hurstpierpoint at 4:00 pm. I will source a few cardboard placards and coloured pens; you are welcome to bring your own art materials along to contribute. Depending on numbers, we can decide nearer the time on whether to car share, get the bus from right across the street, or leave cars at the station and get the train in.

6:0pm we will meet outside Brighton station for the start of the march.

From the organisers:

“We’re back once again to march against the ongoing violence against women and marginalised genders, and against the growing misuse of gender-based violence to spread hate and division.

We are living through a national crisis of gender-based violence alongside rising misogyny and far-right attempts to hijack conversations about women’s safety to push racist, transphobic and exclusionary agendas.

We are proudly sex worker-inclusive, trans-inclusive and anti-racist. Our fight is for safety, justice and equality for everyone; recognising that gender-based violence is rooted in sexism, patriarchy and unequal power, not in any single community or identity.

We march for safety, solidarity, visibility and systemic change, and for a world where all of us are safer together.”
