Hello! I'm the Harriet behind Harriet's of Hove. My journey into creating a haven for sustainable living sprang from my passion for our environment and a deep-seated desire to cut down on single-use plastics.

My background as a nurse has been fundamental in shaping my approach to this venture. While the leap from healthcare to running a plastic-free refill shop was a giant one, the values of care, empathy, and proactive problem-solving in healthcare have seamlessly translated into my business ethos.

Starting Harriet's of Hove was more than opening a store; it was about igniting a movement towards sustainable living. I dove into this world with little retail experience but armed with a vision to make a tangible difference. Our shop is not just a place to buy eco-friendly products; it's a symbol of community, education, and change.

The recent arrival of our daughter has further fueled my commitment to this cause. It's no longer just about the world we live in today but about what we're leaving behind for future generations. Every day, I'm inspired to create a world where sustainable living is the norm, not the exception.

As we continue to grow, both in our physical presence in Hove and online, our mission remains the same: to be a catalyst for change, to support local and like-minded businesses, and to make sustainable living accessible and enjoyable.
