Networking events to book for 2024

Yes, we know 2023 isn’t over yet. But, for many people, it is in a business sense. Even if you’re someone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas, you may be the type to have either sought refuge under a blanket, or disappeared to a warm sunny beach (where was our invite?!), and thus written the rest of the year off. So, if you’d like to get the jump on 2024 and book some Sussex networking into your diary, we have plenty to tempt you with.

Co-Women does things differently: we prioritise joy, open ourselves only to women, and ensure that there’s no such thing as boring pitching, just socialising and expanding our networks. If that sounds like something you’d like to try, here’s what we’ve got coming up in January and February of 2024…

Chai and Chatter

Our monthly networking catch ups are, of course, back! Every month we host three – in Brighton, Horsham, and Hove. For members, these are free to attend, and you are welcome to purchase food and drinks at each venue. There is a fee for non-members, and we offer the opportunity to attend one of our events before we ask that you join us. Chai and Chatter is informal – there’s no pitching round, it’s a case of striking up conversation with the other attendees and learning more about who they are and what they do. Come and see what you can find!

Talks at Dinner

Talks at Dinner is designed to be an inspiring and educational evening. Hosted at the Team Domenica café in Brighton, you’ll hear from three speakers at each session, and there is a theme for the evening’s talks. We’re kicking off in January with the seasonally-appropriate idea of “Fresh Starts”. We’ve brought in some big hitters for this one, don’t worry!

Co-Women members Jess Nicks, Sally Garozzo and Beth Jackson are bringing mega energy to these sessions. You can find out more about what they’ll be chatting about here, and we can assure you that you won’t want to miss this. We’re grateful to these three for sticking their hands up at a time of year when many of us want to stay at home and hibernate – their dedication to the cause of cheering others on is unparalleled.

Pinot and Picasso

Still fairly new to Brighton is a painting studio with a difference! Pinot & Picasso began in Australia, and like all good things from Down Under, has emigrated to the UK. With studios beginning to pop up across the country, Brighton’s opened in the autumn of 2023, offering “paint and sip” experiences. You’ll be guided in producing your very own painting along a specific theme, and the evening we’ve booked has a special “glow in the dark” element too! The studio has a bar which has brilliant alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings, plus snacks, and you are welcome to bring your own nibbles too.

Co-Women’s Jo and Becky have both tried the venue out on separate occasions and found it a combination of fun, creative and mindful - they highly recommend it. Come and join us for a Leap Day experience that’ll also ensure you have your own bespoke souvenir.

And that’s just the start! Stay tuned for plenty more events still to be added to our calendar. Those who join us in the next few weeks are also invited to an online new members’ briefing on 10th January, which is your chance to find out exactly what is available via your membership, and ask any questions. All that’s left to do is wish you a very happy holidays, and say that we hope to see you in 2024!
