Glow: Co-Women Meet the Stores Helping You Through Lockdown

Local raw vegan, super healthy duo and best friends, Rosie and Jess, are on a mission to promote healthier lifestyles through the provision of their home made cold press juices, complimented with free advice and support. More recently they've added weekly organic fruit and veg box deliveries to their offerings. I had a chat with Rosie to find out more

Please tell us about your business and what you offer?

Glow makes and delivers raw, cold pressed juices. Either to have to compliment your existing diet or to use it cleanse. We also now deliver weekly fruit and veggie boxes. Catering for single people, families, any size. We are very happy to taylor to specific tastes. If you don't like mushrooms...you won't get mushrooms!! We source local and organic wherever possible.

How long have you been based in Brighton?

Glow started up in Feb 2019. The manifestation of Rosie and Jess. Best friends and business partners.

What challenges has your business faced since we went into lockdown?

We've been thriving! After a quiet winter. The lockdown inspired more people to reach out for support with their health. We've been selling our juices pretty much at cost, with very little profit. Our purpose is to provide health support for those who seek it. We would like to keep the costs of the juices as close to their existing price after lockdown. Other than a bottle delivery taking weeks to come and occasionally not being able to get exactly what produce we require - business wise lockdown has been a breeze.

Would you say that the Support Local Facebook group and website have been a help to your business?

The Support Local Facebook group has been INVALUABLE.  We launched our original lockdown advert on there and have acquired most of our regular customers through the site. We are really very grateful it was created and maintained so beautifully.

What advice would you give to anyone who is struggling right now?

Reach out. Reach out to fellow business people. Ask for help. We are a community. Skill swap. And maybe spend some time really focusing on what you want to do and why. Take each day and breath.

What happy song makes you dance in your kitchen?!

The The - This is the Day. Today. Yesterday and forever more.

Anything further you'd like to tell us?

As well as our juices and boxes we are also becoming very experienced in health support/weight loss/overcoming addiction. And if anyone needs absolutely free advice we are happy to help. It is all from our own experiences. Jess and I are both 18 months sober and couldn't have done it without the changes in lifestyle we have made. If you can't afford to buy juices, do reach out. We are here.
